SCHOOL PROGRAMS
For the past 8+ years, our dedicated team has been working with school children from Kindy-Year 6, developing and running physical education programs in accordance with the current NSW Board of Studies PDHPE syllabus, based on various team sports and athletics.
Our programs specifically develop gross motor/coordination and locomotor skills through fun and well designed activities, using plenty of quality age appropriate equipment in a stimulating environment.
Program Objectives:
- To develop gross motor skills of children through repetition of fun and well-designed activities;
- To learn and demonstrate the skills and rules of key sports;
- To develop partner and teamwork abilities;
- To encourage movement and play within a stimulating environment.
Skills Achieved:
- Throwing and catching using tennis balls, basket/netballs and footballs;
- Striking using t-ball bats, tennis rackets, hockey sticks and cricket bats;
- Kicking using footballs and soccer balls;
- Balance and coordination using balance beams, flip and catch, bean bags and balance sea-saws;
- Main sports offered: hockey, netball, soccer, footy - AFL & touch and t-ball with a focus on one sport per term , or an agreed combination of sports, plus a specific athletics program which includes field events.
